By downloading or using RunBoyRun ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. The App
RunBoyRun is a running app that delivers time- and condition-based challenges, lets you record runs, create and follow courses, and connect with other runners in squads. The app is provided by the RunBoyRun team ("we", "us").
2. Your Account
You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID. You must be 13 years of age or older to use the app.
3. PacePlus Subscription
PacePlus is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features including run sync, leaderboards, and squad creation. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store on a monthly or annual basis.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policy.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems.
- Submit false run data or manipulate leaderboard standings.
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users through squad or social features.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the run data, courses, and content you create in the app. By sharing content publicly (e.g. publishing a course, participating in a leaderboard), you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content to other users within the app.
6. Health and Safety
RunBoyRun is not a medical app. The app does not provide medical advice. Always consult a doctor before beginning any exercise programme. Run within your abilities and obey local traffic laws and trail rules. We are not liable for any injury, accident, or health event that occurs during use of the app.
7. Intellectual Property
The RunBoyRun name, logo, challenge content, and app design are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without written permission.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, error-free, or that challenge conditions (weather, moon phase, etc.) will be perfectly accurate. GPS accuracy depends on your device and environment.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
